Green Smoothie with Spirulina
This smoothie is a great way to quench your thirst on a hot summer day! It contains Spirulina which is an excellent source of vegetable protein, beta-carotene, vitamin B-12, iron, potassium , magnesium and calcium.; people taking this feel more energized and has a greater sense of being healthy because it detoxifies the body, boosts immunity, helps lower cholesterol and also prevents heart disease.

- 1 tablespoon Spirulina powder
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 cup romaine lettuce, torn
- 1 cup chard, torn
- cup cucumber, peeled, seeded and diced
- 2 cups pineapple, cut into chunks
- 1/2 cup ice cubes
- sugar substitute, to taste (optional)
- Mix Spirulina and water in a small bowl until completely dissolved.
- Place remaining ingredients in a blender; add Spirulina. Process until smooth.
- Pour in glasses.
- Serve and enjoy.
