Berry Blast Smoothie

Instead of the regular whole milk, “almond milk” is used in this recipe because it is very low in saturated fat, yet rich in vitamin A, vitamin E and calcium. It is a great choice when you are watching your calories from fats.

Yield:

  • 4 Servings
  • 1 cup strawberries, hulled and halved
  • 1 cup cranberries, chopped
  • 1/4 cup wheat germ
  • 2 cups vanilla-flavored almond milk, unsweetened
  • 1/2 cup ice cubes
  • sugar substitute, to taste (optional)
  1. Place all ingredients in a blender. Process until smooth.
  2. Pour in glasses.
  3. Serve and enjoy.
