Our Mission:

We believe you can have the life you want, as long as you’re just a little careful about what you eat. You can eat all the delicious foods you want, as long as you do it in moderation. That’s what makes a healthy lifestyle. All we want is to help you with that. At Precise Portions, we believe that healthy eating does not have to be a constant struggle.

Precise Portions dishware has all the hard work designed right in, so all you have to do is follow the lines on each plate, bowl and glass. Portion control dishes can also be stylish. Our attractive vine and leaf design helps you to portion the right amounts without alerting anyone else that you are doing so. So you can use Precise Portions dishware for any occasion.
Our ultimate goal is to help people eat healthier meals and live healthier lives. By helping people with weight loss and eating right, we’re on our way to achieving that.

Our Philosophy: No Guesswork in Eating Right

In a time when ‘Supersize’ has become the normal size, we have lost the ability to judge what a right-sized portion actually looks like.
Is it any wonder obesity is on the rise, that more than one-third (35.7%) of adults are considered to be obese?

The only thing worse is the restrictive fad diets and possibly dangerous pills people use to try to shed pounds.

That’s where Precise Portions comes in.

We set out to design portion control dishes which would let you and your whole family start eating well right away – and that means eating the right foods in the right proportion. After all, eating right and weight loss are not things that are achieved overnight. They take time and consistency, but that doesn’t mean they have to be complicated.

Our History

Precise Portions was started by Ed and Ann-Marie Stephens. Like many Americans both of their families are stricken with Type 2 diabetes. They have seen firsthand how challenging it can be to enjoy a healthy lifestyle while trying to cope with a disease that degrades quality of life. They spent years compiling information, and doing everything they could to help their loved ones deal with their conditions, and control their weight and blood sugar levels.

All their research and hard work and innovative thinking produced great results in their family members. In 2007, they decided to share what they had learned through a diabetes information portal. On that back of that excellent work, Ed and Ann-Marie connected with a range of committed medical and nutrition specialists.

In 2010, they noticed that the medical research and patients’ clinical results shared one common element: the need for a healthy nutrition plan as the key to controlling weight, blood sugar, metabolism and even mental focus and energy levels.

With their families’ doctors advising them to practice portion control, Ed and Ann-Maire turned to registered dietitians and other health professionals to develop a portion and nutrition control system that would be easy to use, affordable and medically sound. And Precise Portions was born.

Ed & Ann-Marie StephensFounders

Ed and Ann-Marie Stephens are product development engineers who started Precise Portions to help their own families, who were stricken with Type 2 Diabetes.

Ed and Ann-Marie set out to find an easier way to manage weight. They spent years working with doctors, nutritionists and dieticians, and realized, healthy nutrition is the key to controlling weight, blood sugar, metabolism and even mental focus and energy levels.

Ed and Ann-Marie put all their research to work successfully for their family members. What started as a personal project, however, soon begged the question: If this works for our families, why won’t it work for everyone’s?

Working with dietitians, Ed and Ann-Marie perfected the stylish porcelain dishware that you see today, a complete range of dishes that makes it possible to maintain healthy eating habits at any occasion, anywhere. This is the vision that set Ed and Ann-Marie on this path. And they are pleased that they are able to help you on your weight management journey.
