Precise Portions – Who Are We?
Our names are Ed and Ann Marie Stephens. We are happily married product development engineers who have committed to helping our family cope with the complications of Type 2 diabetes - for years.
You see, like many Americans both sides of our family are stricken with Type 2 diabetes. We’ve seen firsthand how challenging it can be to enjoy a healthy lifestyle while trying to cope with a disease that degrades your quality of life.
And so, we’ve spent years compiling information, doing our best to help those we love to deal with their conditions and control their weight and blood sugar levels. And guess what? Happily, it’s going very well.
It wasn’t long before we realized that “if what we’re doing is genuinely helping our loved ones, then surely everyone who wanted to enjoy a healthy lifestyle could benefit from the same support!” That’s why, in 2007, we decided to share what we’d learned – and the helpful, useful products we’d developed and discovered along the way – with the world through an informational web portal – TypeFreeDiabetes.com
Turns out, it really does help a lot of people! We’re very grateful to have attracted so much attention – and with it the opportunity to help so many. To make a long story short, we were able to connect with all kinds of helpful and committed medical and nutrition specialists (we thank you all!) who, like us, were interested in helping others.
Then, in 2010, we noticed that all their medical research and all their patients’ clinical results seemed to share one common element: the need for a healthy nutrition plan.
After all… we quite literally ARE what we eat!
Although everything else we’d discovered could help, the key to controlling weight, blood sugar, metabolism and even mental focus and energy levels was in nutritional management, all along.
Our families’ doctors were advising them to practice portion control, and we wanted to help make it easy for them to do this. So, being chemical engineers by trade, we turned to our friendly registered dietitians and other health professionals to advise us on what to do next.
They told us that portion control dinnerware would help our families improve their eating habits. And guess what? The USDA made the same claim that portion control works to improve weight control for a healthy lifestyle! So we decided to make a better mousetrap, and looked into all the things that people don’t like about current portion control dinnerware.
As you might already know, there were a lot of things people didn’t like. So we decided to fix the issues by listening to you – and it worked! We now proudly produce an entire lineup of dinnerware – a complete porcelain portion control system with support documentation that’s attractively styled and dietitian designed to help you improve your eating habits & reach your health goals!
The rest, as they say, is history – and here we are today!
By the way – we use the Precise Portions system. Our families and our friends use it, too, because we all really believe that it helps us to improve our eating habits, live healthier, & more active lifestyles – and it can help you enjoy the same
Best wishes for the future… you can do it – naturally!
